Great instructor that is able to teach multiple skill levels simultaneously. Great atmosphere and location.


I walked into Avara Yoga for the first time at the end of June 2017. It was the first time in eight weeks I actually felt well enough to exercise. I’m still not sure what made me so ill the eight weeks prior, but I had been miserable. Having always been an active person it frustrated me terribly not to be able to exercise during that time. So when I finally felt a little better, I decided to give yoga a try. My thought was that it would be a more gentle way to exercise that might be easier on my tired body than a strenuous cardio workout.

I have now been practicing yoga at Avara for eight weeks. I was right in that it was a gentle way for me to get back into exercising. But while it is gentle, in just a short eight-week time period it has served to strengthen my muscles, help my muscle tone, and increase my flexibility. I’m learning to apply the breathing techniques during my every day activities, and it has helped release a load of tension I was carrying in my body. My posture is better, I sleep better, and I really think my skin has improved too! Also, for the past eight years I have had a problem with swelling in my left leg and foot. (Yes, eight YEARS of painful, frustrating swelling.) Since starting yoga, the swelling has been non-existent! Yoga may be the most wholistic form of exercise I have ever participated in. It’s fun, it’s relaxing, it’s re-energizing! There is always more to learn… more to grow into. No class is ever the same, and I always feel challenged in a good way to strive toward a new stage of growth in my practice. I’m so glad I chose to walk into the studio that day. I will continue practicing yoga as long as possible.


Love this place!! As a CrossFitter, it has helped me tremendously. My range of motion is better, my balance is better, and it helps lengthen my muscles. It has helped focus my mind, and I breathe better. Most importantly, it has helped with recovery of not only my body but my mind as well. Great place for a little bit of peace
